Meet our team

Tom Goerke

Founder & Principal Consultant

Tom is a seasoned technology and innovation leader with over 30 years’ experience across global tech firms, startups, and research organisations. A Fellow of Engineers Australia, he has worked with international organisations including Cisco Systems in both the UK and Australia, and holds multiple patents in wireless communications.

As part of Cisco’s global innovation team, Tom designed and led the rollout of Cisco’s Innovation Centres across Australia and New Zealand creating platforms for startups, researchers, and enterprises to test, validate, and deploy emerging technologies.

He founded Trestle Digital to help organisations align technology with strategy, decarbonisation, and business outcomes. Tom specialises in digital transformation, ESG-aligned innovation, and advanced infrastructure design, and is a highly experienced facilitator of strategic workshops and stakeholder engagements.

He is also an experienced non-executive director and Chair, with board roles spanning professional bodies, research initiatives, and innovation-led organisations.

Brad Davies

Strategy & Principal Consultant

Brad is a trusted advisor on strategy, evaluation, and organisational design, with a portfolio of over 200 major projects across government, education, health, and the technology sector. His work ranges from leading national program reviews to designing international study tours and consulting for global tech firms. Brad brings rigour, clarity, and practical insight to every engagement, with a focus on connecting innovation to measurable impact. He has deep experience in stakeholder management, policy analysis, and commercial strategy, particularly within universities and mission-driven organisations.

Andrew Mackay

Wireless & Infrastructure Expert

Andrew is a senior wireless technology specialist with two decades of experience advising governments, telcos, and enterprises across the Asia-Pacific. A senior IEEE member and frequent contributor to global standards work, he brings expertise across five generations of mobile and IoT networks. Andrew’s project portfolio includes spectrum strategy, private 5G deployments, virtualisation, and critical communications design for mining, utilities, healthcare, and manufacturing sectors. He is widely regarded for his ability to translate complex network technologies into business value and policy relevance.

Nic Henwood

Strategy & Policy Consultant

Nic is a management consultant and former government policy advisor with deep experience in digital strategy, program evaluation, and public sector reform. He has led significant projects across finance, health, defence, energy, and education — from mapping Victoria’s startup ecosystem to shaping New Zealand’s digital acceleration investments. Nic combines strong policy literacy with commercial acumen and brings a systems-thinking lens to innovation and capability development. His ability to bridge public and private sector priorities makes him a valuable partner in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
